Bang! is the brain child of Deisha Oliver-Millar and it all started in February of 2008 in the back gallery of Eyedrum. A child of artists, musicians and writers, the proclivity to be a cellist/actor/director was apparent from a very early age. Throughout her varied career, she found that she was always promoting someone, something. Always working on some new way to reach audiences. Always talking, writing, working on a new event or artistic endeavor. She’s a connector. Deisha felt that after years of promoting and the urging of many of her friends and family, that starting a new company based on connecting artists and businesses to the wide, wide world would be just the right move. As the recession hit hard in 2008, so did Bang!!

Looking to the sociocultural landscape of Atlanta, Bang! began grabbing onto like minded organizations and individuals from the very beginning. Promoting is about relationships pure and simple. We are incredibly honored to work with PURGEATL, BURNAWAY, THE GOOD FOOT PROMOTIONS, ATLANTA IS BURNING and THE GRASS BEING GREENER. All of these groups have diverse audiences who appreciate and dare we say it, LOVE, Atlanta and the choices available to our thriving culture scene. PROMOTIONS+ CLIENT DEVELOPMENT
Under the ephemeral title of promotions lies marketing, public relations, all the collateral that allows people to get an idea of what/who/where a client creates, does business or shows their work. It was a surprise on many levels to us the blocks that many people seem to have against marketing themselves. Aside from that, developing a plan to do so seems to be difficult for most if they are more used to being cocooned in their own turf.
So we work with each of our clients on developing their brand, their essence. Bang! feels that by teaching self-sustaining methods for client development we create a stronger client. In general, we really, really dig collaborating with our clients. They get what they need to be successful and we get the satisfaction of making something with our clients. The with is hella important to us.
